By accessing or using the Service, you confirm that you are at least 16 years of age and have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must immediately discontinue use of the Service.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts at our discretion, including — but not limited to — cases of policy violation, suspected fraud, or abuse of the Service.
To maintain service fairness and prevent unauthorised account sharing, the following limits apply:
Each account is permitted a maximum of 3 active device sessions at any one time.
If a fourth login is attempted while three sessions are already active, the oldest session will be automatically terminated, or you will be required to log out of an existing device before continuing.
Attempting to circumvent this limit — including through VPNs, proxies, session spoofing, or any other technical means — is a violation of these Terms.
The following are considered separate devices for the purpose of this policy: each unique mobile device, tablet, laptop, or desktop computer, regardless of operating system. Multiple browser profiles on the same physical machine may each count as a separate session.
StepwiseMed accounts are strictly single-user. Account sharing of any kind is prohibited, including:
Accounts found to be shared will be suspended immediately and without prior notice. No refunds will be issued for accounts terminated due to account sharing violations.
We use automated systems and manual review to detect access patterns inconsistent with individual use. Accounts flagged by these systems may be reviewed and suspended pending investigation.
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:

All content, design, software, trademarks, and materials comprising the StepwiseMed Service — including the platform UI, proprietary features, branding, and original written content — are the exclusive property of StepwiseMed or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Question content made accessible through the platform may be the intellectual property of third-party publishers (such as UWorld, AMBOSS, Mehlman, NBME, and others). Your access to such content through our platform does not grant you any rights to copy, distribute, or reproduce it.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the Service solely for your personal, non-commercial study purposes.
StepwiseMed is an educational study tool designed for medical students preparing for licensing examinations. It is not a medical device, clinical decision support tool, or substitute for professional medical judgement.
Nothing on the platform constitutes medical advice. Do not use question content, AI explanations, or any other material from StepwiseMed to guide clinical decisions or patient care. Always consult qualified healthcare professionals for medical guidance.
We strive to maintain continuous availability of the Service, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We reserve the right to:

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, StepwiseMed and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of data, loss of exam scores, or loss of revenue — arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the total amount you have paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
You may close your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to access the Service will immediately cease.
We may terminate or suspend your account at our discretion, with or without notice, for violation of these Terms. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will remain in effect.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Pakistan. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Pakistan.
